Drawing a connection links two verses together on the Network Map. Your connections join the 340,000 pre-loaded cross-references and become part of the living graph the whole community explores.
How to draw one

Open Parallels and load a passage in each pane.

Tap the 🔗 Draw Connection button. The panes switch into connection mode and verses become tappable targets.

Tap a verse in the left pane, then a verse in the right pane.

Choose a connection type — such as fulfills, parallels, expands, contrasts, quotes, or theme — and confirm.
⚡ The new edge appears on the Network Map
in real time — for you and for anyone else viewing it.
Connection types
- Fulfills — a prophecy and its fulfillment.
- Parallels — passages that echo one another.
- Expands — one verse develops the thought of another.
- Contrasts — passages that stand in tension.
- Quotes — a direct citation.
- Theme — a shared topic or idea.
Community members can endorse strong connections, which helps good links surface on the map.
