Comparing translations in Parallels

Read passages side by side across translations and languages.

Parallels is a split-screen view for reading two passages side by side — in different translations, different languages, or a passage next to your own notes.

Set it up

1
Open Parallels from the navigation.
2
Pick a passage and a translation for each pane using the controls at the top.
3
Switch either pane to a different translation or language at any time — great for comparing renderings of the same verse.

Right-pane modes

The right side can show more than another translation. Depending on your setup it can display a translation, your notes, or a related post — so you can study a passage against whatever context is most useful.

🌍 Because verse text is fetched on demand, you can read one pane in English and the other in Arabic, Spanish, French, and many more languages. See Choosing your Bible translation.

Draw a connection

Parallels is also where you link verses together. Tap Draw Connection, then tap a verse in each pane to connect them. Learn more in Drawing verse connections.
