Choosing your Bible translation

Pick the translation and language used to display verse text.

You can choose which translation and language is used to display verse text across the whole app — the Network Map sidebar, Parallels, the verse widget, post cards, and sermon mode.

How it works

Every verse in House-tops is anchored to a universal key (the KJV reference). The display text is fetched on demand in your chosen translation and cached for speed. That means you can read the same verse in dozens of languages without changing anything about your notes or connections.

Set your translation

1
When you change your interface language, House-tops automatically selects a default Bible translation for that language.
2
Prefer a specific translation? Your Bible translation is a separate preference saved to your profile, so you can keep an English interface with, say, an Arabic Bible — or the reverse.
📚 In Parallels you can pick a different translation for each pane — for example Arabic on one side and English on the other — to compare renderings directly.

Availability

Verse text is served from a large multilingual Bible source covering many translations and languages. If a particular verse isn't available in your chosen translation, House-tops falls back gracefully so you always see the passage.
