House-tops is a scripture-centered platform for saving your personal Bible study and sermon notes, connecting verses into a living map, and opening your findings to the world for honest, respectful discussion.
It is not a Bible reader app. Apps like YouVersion already do that
beautifully. House-tops is a place to study, annotate, and debate — and it
links out to Bible reading apps as resources.
Where the name comes from
"What is whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the rooftops." You study in private first, then share what's worth sharing. That idea shapes the whole app.
The three levels
- The Sanctuary — always private. Your reflections and sermon notes live here first.
- Study Circles — optional small groups for peer discussion before you go public.
- The Rooftop — the public feed, where you can publish a post or open a structured debate.
You are always in control. Nothing you write becomes public until you choose to share it, and you can revise or remove anything you've published.
What you can do
- Take sermon notes — online or in church, even offline.
- Explore the verse network — 340,000 cross-references.
- Compare translations in Parallels across languages.
- Publish and debate your findings on the Rooftop.
